System Description

The main computer in the office/ham shack is a custom-built 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 Quad 2600 (Turbo Boost to 3.8 GHz) with a 500 GB SSD, a 1 TB HDD and 16 GB of RAM, running under Windows 7 Professional (64-bit, SP1). This machine is a hardwired client on a small SOHO 802.11b/g wireless LAN using an FTTH router with dual-band Wi-Fi. The localTelcoISP provides broadband high-speed Internet service via the router. A  network printer and a 4 TB  NAS are also hardwired to the router, and are accessible from any of the other clients.

The other client PC is awireless Dell Latitude 7490 laptop,  running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The wireless LAN allows network access from anywhere in the houseor garden.

The main computer providesintranet WWW hosting for website development. Expression Web 4, with Server Extensions, is the Webcreation toolset. This configuration makes for a very effective website development andtest platform.
